Our Corten steel gates are designed and manufactured to provide a high level of safety and durability over time.
The character typical rust effect is given by an oxidation process that releases the oxides of the elements constituting the alloy. This creates a superficial patina: a porous outer layer and an impermeable inner layer. Precisely this highly adherent oxide protective layer, which remains constant over time, has the ability to protect effectively and block the classic oxidation process that could alter and degrade the material.
The oxidation of Corten steel can be performed with the natural oxidation process or by induced oxidation system, so the shades are not defects, but one of its typical characteristics.
